Add<T> Method (AssignmentUtility)

The type of the values for the operand operation.
The first value to add.
The second value to add.
Performs a binary addition of the two specified values.

Parameters

x
The first value to add.
y
The second value to add.

Type Parameters

T
The type of the values for the operand operation.

Return Value

The sum of x and y.
Exceptions
ExceptionDescription
TypeArgumentExceptionT is outside the range of allowed types.
Allowed types are: System.Byte, System.Decimal, System.Double, System.Int16, System.Int32, System.Int64, System.SByte, System.Single, System.UInt16, System.UInt32 or System.UInt64.
System.OverflowExceptionThe sum of x and y is less than or greater than the by T valid MinValue and MaxValue.

Target Platforms: Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
