Cuemon .NET Framework
TryParse(String,Guid) Method

The GUID to convert.
The structure that will contain the parsed value.
Converts the string representation of a GUID to its equivalent System.Guid structure.
Public Overloads Shared Function TryParse( _
   ByVal value As String, _
   ByRef result As Guid _
) As Boolean
public static bool TryParse(
   string value,
   out Guid result

The GUID to convert.
The structure that will contain the parsed value.

Return Value

true if the parse operation was successful; otherwise, false.
This method returns false if value is null or not in a recognized format, and does not throw an exception.
Default implementation for this overload evaluates only on GuidFormats.DigitFormat | GuidFormats.BraceFormat | GuidFormats.ParenthesisFormat, eg. 32 digits separated by hyphens; 32 digits separated by hyphens, enclosed in brackets and 32 digits separated by hyphens, enclosed in parentheses.
The reason not to include GuidFormats.NumberFormat, eg. 32 digits is the possible unintended GUID result of a Cuemon.Security.Cryptography.HashAlgorithmType.MD5 string representation.

Target Platforms: Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
